It's crazy to think that it's been three months in this class. It's even more crazy to think about how much I have improved from our first photo assignment to now. I've learned how to access my computer, which is a very surprising considering I only use one window on my own computer. I have also learned how to use photoshop to exceed reality and found some great places for a photo shoot!
Some of my favorite photo assignments was one of my very first ones. Architecture is very important to me because my dream is to go into civil engineering for undergrad. I really enjoyed this shoot because it also got me looking around places that I live for interesting aspects of it. Another photo assignment was one that I did rather recently. My Portraits/People assignment was super fun to take pictures of, not only because of my friend being my amazing model, but the time of season really set the mood for it. I'm really going to miss this class. I'm very happy that for third trimester I will be able to come back and continue taking amazing photos. But I will always see things in the best composition and always imagine the best photo of the given opportunity.

There are some words where they can look like two different things. There's things like seahorses and butterflies that can be made to look two different ways. Our photoshop assignment was to find words similar to these and put together photos that represent those words. So can you guys what my three photos are?
Words have meaning. But most people have a hard time understanding those meanings without some visual representation. So for our final photoshop assignment, we had to choose a word and its description and put together a photo representing that word. Again, the actual photoshop wasn't as hard as finding what to photoshop. Finding words that had a good visual meaning were tough but I like what came out of this assignment.
Last weekly photo assignment! And of course, why not leave off with some classic black and white. I really liked this subject of photos because it actually showed me an aspect of photoshop I haven't yet explored. But taking these photos and picking the right ones out were a blast and trying to find the perfect contrast between all the colors was quite a challenge but I think paid off in the long run.
Maybe I hit my head.. I'm seeing multiple! Our second to last photo assignment of the year is finally done, and it was a rather complicated one to say the least. But the hardest part wasn't the actual photo shop but the taking of the photos. First, the camera CAN NOT MOVE during the photo process. I can't tell you how many times I had to restart because of it. Then there's the matter of where you take the photos. As you can see in the bottom photo, the shadow of the closest girl seems to have just vanished due to the fact that it got cut off by the other multiple layers. But I'm overall happy with the results.
Original f/6.3 1/160 ISO: 200 Edited My beautiful neighbor let me bomb-bard her with a photoshoot. And I think all of the photos turned out well. It helped to have such a wonderful neighbor that posed and gave me inspiration for the shoot. I did do this topic of photos after we did out portrait assignment to have all of the helpful information our teacher gave us the week prior and I hope it paid off!
One of the biggest forms of photography is portraits! And at my school we're very fortunate to have a studio where we can take (sorta) professional grade photos. But our teacher gave us a challenge of trying to get the same quality of a photo without the studio.
Aperture: 4.0 Shutter: 1/6 ISO: 800 Fall! Tis the season to, well, wrong season. But it's so festive! So why not gather some great pieces from fall and set them up for an awesome photoshoot! I have to admit, my camera was acting up a bit and a few parts of the photos are blurry but I tried my hardest. And of course, you need to add a petoskey or two to make it even better!
It's glorious fall in Michigan! So what's better than taking some landscape photos? Our teacher this week had us take our photos but show the difference of the original, bare photo vs. our touchup photos that we would usually post. The top is the original photo and the bottom one has had some help getting it the way I like it.
Wide, crazy views. So many parts in one photo! It can only be panoramas! This one photoshop assignment was the opposite of what the others were. The photoshop aspect of this assignment was probably the easiest part and taking the actual photos was hard. It was hard because we had to stay completely still while rotating and not moving back or forth. It was also hard to keep the ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture the same through each photo. But I tried my hardest and here are some of the best panos I made this week.
